Dr. Nanda in the section on “Mine Technology & Operation Research” has reiterated to introduce mechanized surface mining system with large size equipment, total mine management system with truck dispatcher system (TDSL) switching over from diesel powered equipment , employing state of the art blasting technology , use of information technology for more accurate mine planning and designing etc to improve productivity & profitability which is visionary thought needs to be implemented for long term gains.
